A Good Day!

Well finally!!!! I got a job. Although it's only a temporary Christmas job it's really ideal. It's a gift shop in Lichfield, friendly people! Nice atmosphere, and I start Thursday! Yeah!

I've been going through a long process of getting a job in the Home Office for Immigration. Even if I get that job, I won't be starting until January or February. After filling out a very detailed application I then had to take an online comprehension test. I passed that apparently and then had to go to an all day interview assessment. It was very intense and made me use all those skills learned in school many years ago. I feel I have just as good of a chance as anyone at getting this job. There are several positions opening up in Birmingham so hopefully I'm one of them.

My birthday was on Monday and it wasn't a bad one, just another year older. K and I went out for a Japanese lunch and then saw the new Bond film.

It's been a while

I haven't come here to blog in such a long time. Not too much going on. Got made redundant from my job at the end of September so have spent a lot of time looking for a new job since then. The bookshop where I was working closed. You'd think this is a great time for work, but sadly no. None of my colleagues have found work either. Too much competition. Oh well, something will come along soon I hope.

Meanwhile here I am in my bargain kimono of $10! Wow!
