Shiba Inu Kimono set

I'm so pleased with this outfit. I have a feeling I'll wear this a lot. The han-eri I made from some fabric with shiba inu and temari balls on it. The kimono is wool. The obi I just finished making from a bolt I've had for a few months. Finally, the obi dome is made by a friend in Germany of a shiba inu of course!

Regency-style dress

I've been busy on the sewing machine for work in the last month. I've made 3 dresses. I've never made dresses until now. I've got the bug. I've made Regency-style dresses for my job at the Soho House Museum in Birmingham. Here is my latest creation that I will be wearing today for our Steam Me Up Watty! event. Hopefully the weather clears enough.
I even wore my Japanese kanzashi in my hair. Matches well doesn't it?

Crufts 2007

I went to Crufts dog show on Sunday. I went to watch the shiba inu show. This year in the Kennel Club there is a split of two types of Akita. So there is Akita and Japanese Akita Inu. I'm glad to see two breeds now as both types are very different. I could also see Japanese Spitz and Japanese Chin dogs. I love the Japanese breeds of dog, but of course shiba is my favourite. The shiba in the photo is owned by a friend of mine. Her name is Tango. The Shiba Inu that won best of breed was a Japanese import named Momo (KOUBAI GO RYUUKYUU URUMA). Enjoy the photos.

Last Friday I met up with a friend in London and we went to the tea ceremony at the British Museum. We also visited several Japanese shops in the city. Had a great day out!
